About GEAN

Geothermal Energy Association of Norway

During the last GeoEnergy Conference 2023 in Bergen, former Centre for Geothermal Energy Research, CGER, which served as a central hub for collaboration and research on geothermal energy in Norway for almost 15 years, changed its name to better reflect its core mission and diversity of its partners that represent the whole sector.

GEAN partners act across the whole range of activities of the geothermal energy sector: operations, manufacturing, service, consultancy, education and research. Through their involvement in GEAN, they are committed to collaborate and build a platform which promotes geothermal energy in Norway, strengthens national cooperation and serves as catalyst for research and technology development.
