What is GEAN?

GEAN is the national network for geothermal energy in Norway. We bring together stakeholders across research, industry, policy, and the supply chain to accelerate the development and implementation of geothermal solutions.

As a member-driven organization, GEAN serves as:

• A link between Norwegian and Nordic geothermal initiatives

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to companies, institutions, and organizations that support the responsible development of geothermal energy in Norway.

Members are expected to:

• Ensure all marketing claims are accurate, transparent, and evidence-based

Membership Fees – 2026

Annual membership fees are based on company size (by number of employees) and categorized as:

• Small and medium-sized enterprises
• Large companies

GEAN may offer reduced rates for startups, non-profit organizations, and other strategically important actors at the discretion of the board.
