Video and PDFs from 28. may (Trondheim)

On behalf of GEAN/NORCE, NTVA, NTNU and GCE Node we thank all presenters audience for active participance during our joint event at Lerkendal Gård the 28th May 2024. The purpose was to learn more about how heat may be integrated into buildings and how sector coupling can aid the development of a fully renewable based energy system.

Draft overview of the national ground source heat extraction in 2023 is shared here. In all, 4238 wells with a total length of 1032 km was drilled providing an estimated capacity of 56 MW, with a total yearly thermal energy addition of 186 GWh to be served the national energy system each year. Since the 1980s a total of nearly 700 MW of heat power available at demand equating to around 2.2 TWh heat has been. This thermal energy frees out the same amounts of electrical energy, available for other purposes.

Read the report and provide your comments before final submission!

The new program plan was agreed upon during the  steering committee the 23th of May. The purpose is to create value for the partners - but how may that be done?

A warm thank you
